Peaty, what a legend!
Peaty ! Peaty !
Last week on La Bresse it almost seemed as if Peaty was Portuguese... I was soooo happy ! what a legend... fast... very fast, classy, very classy .... ohhh
Peaty for the cup and championship !
Peaty for the cup and championship !
I said last weekend that i believe that this is going to be Peatys year and so far i have been proved right. Now lets hope no other rider proves me worng PEATY FTW
For me Sam Hill is the fastest in the World! he was 1.73s up to Steve peat and then he crashed bad luck! He pushed too far!
Anyway, Steve Peat IS THE LEGEND!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7docqRCxRg here a link for the crash where robin wallner crashed in to a camera guy. he had no brake he sed he lost them in the last wood section.camera guy went 2 a&e with cuts around the eye
hill crashed before the woods- scrubbing the blind drop/roller thing; style pays sometimes. must have nailed the woods to be just 5 seconds down. Brits 1 and 2- standard

remember nico stopped racing at 26, how many top spots do you think he'd have taken if he'd kept at it till he was peatys age
Yeah and Nico has been French and IRC rally champion after he left the word cup. Still great for Peaty
"Sam Hill (AUS - Monster Energy- Specialized) was up by 1.6 seconds less than 40 seconds into the course when he had a horrendous crash off of the face away drop and ended up 50m away from his landing zone in a snowbank. He walked away unscathed, somehow."
That was it.
That was it.

Peaty destroyed it today. Hill seems to be pushing it too far at the moment, its all good if you can ride that fast and win...but it just seems to me that in the last 12 months Hill has made a number of mistakes that you wouldn't see Minnaar, Gee or Peaty making. I think that he's trying to hard to live up to the hype, and needs to focus on getting his consistency back.
I watched it live and really thought Hill was going to win.
But Steve seems stronger and faster this year, he is a true legend!
Something else that is amazing, is Bryceland getting 9th.

Peaty's Time has come for some well needed and sought after victories, may this year be the year he wins by all the small amounts instead of losing by such small amounts! GO PEATY!

Nice job Peaty 2 in a row for the season, broke a course record, and has the most world cup wins in history! just awesome!
WTF .02 secs amazing. if you listen to Steve's competitor he said "its frustrating to loose by so little" which is exactly what Steve said when he lost in the seasons dvd.
I said it before and I say it again!
Peat might win another WC, before he left the pro circuit!
And I think this could be his year, he isnt a young anymore but he got lots of experience!
He's a f*cking legend!

Its great to see Peaty back on top, but has anyone noticed how Rennie has had two really bad finishes in a row? did he crash again
he crashed in practice very hard again, i saw an interview with him, things don´t fall into place for him at the moment, 2 hard crashes in a week and so he rode the final not very aggressive...

what about Bryn Atkinson? 8th place is an awesome effort, hopefully we'll see more of him in the top 10 on the new bike.

Here's the Hill before the crash, how does he get his mindset back after a crash? Takes me a while after a bad crash only two so far though.

I watched this on EuroSport. Jesus, but their coverage is crap. They must have had 3 cameras for the whole thing and the same slow-mo's with some cheesy rock music
Good on Hill to get back on the bike straight away and continue pinning it!
I think most people would have taken it easy after that, he obviously didn't to be 7 seconds down by the finish.

Its all well tearing down the track and smashjng sector times but as proven by Peaty and Gee this weekend who were the only top ten riders down on time in the first split this weekend, that knowing when to rip and knowing to save something for the end are as much a part of winning a race.
It isn't just a case of wow Hill is up on the split and wow Hill is fastest through the speed trap, it means nothing if you bin it on the next corner, that is the fine line between winning and losing and Hill knows this to well now.
He will bounce back from this and the frightening thing is he will learn from it and become an even better rider then watch the records fall.
Peaty is king!

concerning ruckusflow.... i remember fabien barrel saying long time ago "...cause there is actually more time to loose than to win...." Hill should keep that in mind...
Wow, gnarly digger. Cameraman sounded a little too horrified to me though. I think Sam's just feeling the pressure this year, he'll rebound as soon as he can get a cool head.
If you want to see Sam Hill's crash go here and you can see it:

I may be the only person on the whole site to say this, and I know I'll get record -breaking negative props, and god knows I deserve them, but Hell, I'll say it anyway.
I'm bored of Steve Peat.
