Sam Oakes' Video (Video 1) seems like the only one that hasn't been commercially raped... and even with the big sponsors making video's Sam's seems to dominate! I wish there were more amateur video's on pinkbike instead manufactured bullshit :/

Did you submit your video to the BDS category thing?

It is far better than vid 5 which gave me a headache with it's shakeyness and decided it was just a pisstake and switched it off when the 3rd Atherton came on riding the exact same sections as the first 2.

It's nice to know that pinkbike make the effort to place all BDS video's in the competition..

OH WAIT NO THEY DON'T.

Mine was gash with a major WB mistake but it's still got more faves than over half of the video's in the comp.. and what about Rafi's video aswell?

oh and also, it appears that shakey lakey has a challenger for the shakey name...

all the video's are invalid as Moelfre was actually underwater at the time of the race, mine is the only video which shows this.

I'll be honest this complaining isn't going to help your cause at all, but only harm it.
If you have a complaint contacting the pb guys directly in a polite manner would probably help get what you want done more effectively than complainig vocally here.

The lads at BDS want all the photo's in one place so they can point sponsors (and potential new sponsors) towards them to show how much coverage the BDS is getting, so it's not surprising they want to 'encourage' togs to put photo's in that category. The fact that there are photo and video comps for every round of the BDS this year, with prizes supplied by sponsors, presumably means that they are doing a good job of encouraging support for the series. At the risk of sounding like the old fart I am, I've been entering photo comps since before most of you were born, and it is a hell of a lot easier to enter them these days when all you have to do is upload a few JPEGs. In the past you had to send off your precious transparencies in the post, hope they would arrive OK, then wait months while a junior editor left them in a drawer and forgot about them! One thing hasn't changed though, the first rule of photo comps is 'make sure you comply with any conditions set by the organisers'. It doesn't matter if you agree with them or not, if you don't follow their rules you just end up disqualifying yourself. I know it's frustrating when your pics have been missed out, but I bet everyone will make sure their photo's are put in the BDS category for the next round Wink

. Rather than complaining on here, the best thing you can do is get out and take more photo's, and let your pictures do the talking Smile
