Hmm...Neethling is on the second place log and Riffle is on the third place log in the podium shot. However, The results show them being flip flopped. Riffle 2nd and Neethling 3rd.

Cash payouts are just like lotteries. The more that participate, the higher the payout. Women's participation must increase first before the cash payout increases, not the other way around. If you are racing DH for the money, you are in the wrong sport!

We had 91 pro men and only 23 pro women. Mind you it was the largest Pro Wmn field ever! Cierra Smith- I HOPE YOUR OK!

Surely the prize funds raised by the race can be split evenly, I understand the concept of prize stake via gender majority but it seems a bit draconian. Still, if it is the same course the female riders take the same risks, it costs them the same to race the event, to travel to the event etc.. How can you encourage more females to take part in the sport if the costs out weigh the gains?

Cash payouts are determined on overall costs. If we equal out the pay then our racers won't get uplifts for three days. It's a fine balance. Hopefully the pro women have matchings avail to them. It's a good discussion for sure. Most races only have 3 or 4 signed up. This race was well stacked.

Yeah, Ciera crashed directly in front of me in the new section....lawndarting into a pile of big roots and we helped get her off the track after it happened. She's a tough lil' bugger though and wanted to keep going, but was complaining about her shoulder and her head, so I told her to just chill. She definitely was concussed, but Shawn (ODS medic and all-around rad dude) was johnny-on-the-spot and quickly assessed her and then walked her to a vehicle and got her down safely. Healing vibes to her....hopefully nothing too serious!

Ya...just missed that one. I was in the next wooded section below, but you could tell something went terribly wrong - then saw Shawn walking her to the truck (which was literally around the corner). Healing vibes!!!
