Uhhh this isn't Washington, or Britain where it rains 99% of the year. There is snow on the ground... it's not that dry, but it's not the rainy winters like Britain gets.

welcome to the BC interior desert. Some year we can ride year round but on average its a 10 and a half months long bike season. Gotta love snowboarding/skiing and biking on the same day, i guess that's why they say it's the best place on earth Smile

 And me. BC rocks! =]

Also, Brits owning downhill? Aside from Peaty I don't know anyone else who really "owns dh" on a consistent level, with multiple WC wins each season. Brits better prepare for 2012 because Gwin is coming back, and I'm sure Hill will be giving Brits hell as well.

flag rffr (Dec 27, 2011 at 2:04)
Wait, so because it sais winter Stinky that means snow? You do realize that most of the world A: doesn't ever get snow, and B: relies on climate to get snow. Many, and I mean MANY regions so far in the world that normally have got heavy snow, have no snow. So just because something says "WINTER" it doesn't mean you need to assume snow, or it would have said "SNOW" in the title. "Bas rides the Winter " no way implies sleighing, snow, or anything else, it just implies WINTER. Why does everyone think winter means snow. Many times winter ='s NO snow, or even mud. Winter doesn't automatically mean it's raining like a british golden shower at porno time, or like it's snowing like it does it does at the north pole. Winter is a season, which is immune from stereotypical weather. IE, it could have been "Bas rides the Winter", and him riding in 70f weather in Hawaii, or 90F weather in brazil. So in other words if you relate winter to snow, and nothing else, you might want to change your perception of winter. Even in Canuck land, it doesn't always mandate snow in the winter. Or rain, or even cold for that matter.

It obviously wasn't a vid filled with snow... well, because much of the western hemisphere, just like the eastern haven't had much snow yet. It's been a mild winter so far with only a blizzard or two. There is still some snow on the ground, just like many parts that normally get much snow.

Like said, there is no "snow" in the title, so don't bitch when you don't see someone riding in a ski resort filled with snow like in the Swiss Alps.

Not really "winter" conditions. If you want to try winter riding i suggest you come to Edmonton, Alberta Where theres about a foot of packed snow on top of ice all the time through December until April.

Too bad they don't even have much snow in Edmonton, Alberta now, compared to normal. The whole western hemisphere is lacking it's shit weather, just like the east hemisphere. Give it time though... it will get shitty.

Also a foot of snow is shit. Jackson hole had a 4 feet base the last time I checked not too long ago.
